Telnet cant be enabled by default. A log in function must be enabled manually for telnet to be used. And Cisco is great stuff, but there’s Avaya, Juniper etc etc. But to say “this company sucks” is plain ignorance, Sure there is better hardware around, but we would have to compare models, not the company. As some routers do things that other routers dont.

I always thought it was a pain in the ass having to find an old computer with a serial card for a terminal. Don’t new cisco routers just have a telnet server running by default? Besides cisco sucks, most companys would do just fine using the router unix OSs there are out there.
