How to recover my Network key on my wireless connection at home?

I am trying to get my work laptop hooked up to my wireless connection at home. It wouldn’t connect because I suspect the network key might be wrong when it’s attempting to authenticate. Is there an easy to figure out what the network key is if you’ve forgotten? Btw – I use a Linksys router

no, but you can reset the whole router. on Linksys routers, there’s usually a reset button on the back near where you plug it in. use the end of a straightened paper clip and hit this button. Just a warning though, it’ll reset EVERYTHING back to factory settings. You’ll need to reset up whatever changes you have made to it.

Go to your router’s setup page through a wired connection.
type 192.168.1.1 (or whatever it says on the bottom of your router) in the browser, and log in.
The username and password to login should be on the label under your router as well.
Go to wireless settings, and you can change the password there.

you could just change it if you forgot it. In your web browser type that will log you into your router. then you can change the key

Type the router IP address into your address bar, where you normally type websites like. The IP address will probably be 192.168.1.1.
This will take you to the router’s configuration page where you can probably access your wireless Network key or your WEP.
